This course provides the diver with a working knowledge of the theory, methods and procedure of planned stage decompression diving. Students will plan and conduct stage decompression dives not exceeding 40 msw. Equipment requirements and configurations (including NTEC), decompression breathing gas mixtures (including oxygen, NITROX and Helitrox) and decompression techniques will be covered. A maximum of 4 students will be enrolled per class. Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be competent to plan and execute dives without direct supervision requiring decompression using NITROX/oxygen mixtures of 28% - 100%.
