Decompression Techniques
Minimum age:21
Minimum certification:NAUI Master Scuba Diver and speciality Deep Diver (or equivalent), and Technical NITROX Diver and NAUI Helitrox Diver with proof of 100 logged dives with 20 on NITROX.
Duration:10 days full time or 4 weeks part time
Pool sessions:1
Open water dives:6 boat dives (and 1 screening dive)  
Equipment Included:None, however the student will have access to an oxygen analyser
Equipment required by student:Full kit (manifolded twins required) with a 2m hose on the primary second stage, stainless steel backplate and wing, an O2 cleaned independent alternate air source to be slung (4-10l aluminium cylinder with a first and second stage and a spg), torch, line cutting device, computer / depth and timing device, emergency signalling device, compass, wetnotes, reel/spool, DSMB, deco regulator cover and drysuit. No split fins allowed.
Other exclusions:All air, Nitrox, oxygen and Helitrox fills
Materials included:Manual, certificate, registration and c-card

This course provides the diver with a working knowledge of the theory, methods and procedure of planned stage decompression diving. Students will plan and conduct stage decompression dives not exceeding 40 msw. Equipment requirements and configurations (including NTEC), decompression breathing gas mixtures (including oxygen, NITROX and Helitrox) and decompression techniques will be covered. A maximum of 4 students will be enrolled per class.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be competent to plan and execute dives without direct supervision requiring decompression using NITROX/oxygen mixtures of 28% - 100%.
